Commission on World Ministry
& Christian Unity

Advancing the mission of the Church across the globe while fostering unity among Christians of every tradition

Promoting Dialogue, Cooperation, and Reconciliation

Our heart is to develop mission partnerships, collaborations and acts of service that embody Christ’s radical love (Matthew 25:34 – 40) while also promoting dialogue, cooperation, and reconciliation among churches. Together we can fulfill Christ’s prayer “that they may all be one” (John 17:21). Every road taken—whether winding through rural parishes in Africa, praying with leaders in Washington DC or crossing city squares in Eastern Europe—becomes a classroom of grace. In each encounter, we see Christ welcomed in the stranger, fed in the hungry child, and clothed in the refugee camp resident.

As we minister together, we commit to:

  • Walking alongside local leaders, learning from their wisdom and opening our resources to strengthen sustainable ministries.
  • Engaging the local church in hands-on service projects, such as the wells that have been built in villages in South Sudan or the orphanages that have been established and supported in Kenya and Argentina.
  • Sharing the sacraments and Word of God across language barriers, using translators, liturgical music, and Scripture readings that resonate with diverse cultures.
  • Fostering Unity
  • Enabling Reconciliation
  • Initiating Dialogue

The Commission on World Ministry and Christian Unity is a dedicated to advancing the mission of the Church across the globe while fostering unity among Christians of every tradition.

It seeks to support global evangelization and the fulfillment of the GREAT COMMISSION (Acts 1:8, Matthew 24:14, Matthew 28:18 -20), develop mission partnerships and collaborations, and acts of service that embody Christ’s radical love (Matthew 25:34 – 40).

By promoting dialogue and cooperation among Christian churches, we move beyond static partnerships into dynamic friendships. Over cups of espresso on a Italian streets and long drives on African roads, we have seen how confession, forgiveness, and shared prayer stitch broken communities back together. In these moments, Christ’s prayer “that they may all be one” (John 17:21) leaps off the page and into our hearts.

Together, we answer the call to be instruments of reconciliation—inviting every congregation, every mission agency, and every believer to bridge divides of geography, language, and tradition. United in purpose, we pursue a global communion marked by humility, hospitality, and hope.
