The Shomair Yisrael Messianic Jewish Congregation in Knoxville TN hosted our Bishop Primus Abp Vijay Raju, General Secretary Abp Robert Gosselin, and Archbishop Vince McLaughlin of the Archdiocese of North America on Saturday October 4, 2025. Rabbi Michael Weiner, the Founder and Rabbi Emeritus, welcomed the archbishops and hosted the Shabbat worship service.
Rabbi Weiner attended the investiture of the Bishop Primus in February, and was excited to begin developing a closer relationship with us. Abp Vince and Rabbi Michael have known one another for more than five years, having developed a close friendship over their shared desire to see Jesus the Messiah glorified in every way possible.
The Primus preached upon the topic of “Jesus – the Rock of Our Salvation and the mission of His Church.“
Celebrating Connectivity
Bringing Jews and Gentiles together in Christ as the one new man is a task as old as the New Testament itself; and one which must be undertaken every generation.
As one of the leaders, not only of the synagogue but also of Tikkun America, a national network of messianic congregations, Rabbi Michael hopes to forge a path leading to greater cooperation among our gropus.

The worship service was led by a talented team of musicians, with the experience of the Lord’s presence being accentuated with flags, banners and dancers.
