Baptism at the Beach
“I baptize you, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit!”
These words, given to us by Christ and the Apostles, hold the same power now as they did when Jesus spoke them on the Mount of Olives 2,000 years ago. Now this power is moving again in the United Kingdom as CAC Bishop Cei Dewar calls the people to repentance, and the waters of baptism. This is the first of many mass baptism services that Bishop Cei has planned for this year and next. Over a dozen baptismal services are planned for 2026.

On this day, over 20 people gathered at Crooklets Beach, near Bude in Cornwall to watch as 10 of their number went into the water to be baptized by Bishop Cei; to mark their commitment to Christ, and be washed clean from their sin. The crowd engaged in the Liturgy of Holy Baptism, and then the baptizands entered the frigid waters together with Bishop Cei and Deacon Pete to be symbolically buried with Christ and join in His resurrection.

Spiritual Renewal
The event stands as a sign of the larger movement of spiritual renewal which is happening in England and the rest of the United Kingdom; the foundations are being laid for new life of the Church there. God’s kingdom grows stronger when his people turn away from their idols, and seek His face in prayer, fasting, and repentance. Bishop Cei and others like him are a powerful voice calling Britain to repentance and renewed life in Christ.

A Voice to the People
A team from Sky News UK was present with the congregants that day, to record the events and speak about the political shift which is taking place in England. People are moving away from the modern, woke, post-Christian culture, and back towards the Anglican Christian roots of their nation. As the report highlighted, the call now is for the United Kingdom to put forward the Cross of Christ, and follow the King of Heaven. (Watch the Sky News Report here)
