A message from our Bishop Primus ☩☩Vijay Raju Gadepe

The Lord, be with you!!

I offer my personal greetings as the Bishop Primus of the Confessing Anglican Church, and thank you for visiting with us.

The title “Confessing” signifies our dedication to the ancient creeds – Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian – in defiance of the prevailing currents of compromise and secularization. By it, we assert our refusal to allow contemporary heresies to distort the faith once delivered to the saints.

Since the earliest days of our Communion in 1995, we have focused on being an authentic expression of the historic Church. Embracing the convergence of the Church’s three core expressions – sacramental, evangelical and pentecostal. We’re also deliberate about building relationships in Christ that express the unity of His Body. Whether through worship together, serving side by side in bringing Jesus to the world, or common exhortation to love and righteousness. We are here to serve the body of Christ, wherever it is found.

The Reformed perspective calls us to focus on God’s glory in all things. We are reminded of the great truths of the Reformation—salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed in Scripture alone, to the glory of God alone. These foundational principles shape and sustain the Communion as we labor for the expansion of Christ’s kingdom on earth.

Today, the CAC is a vibrant and growing body, spanning five continents and consisting of over 2.1 million members. By God’s grace, nearly 11,000 churches have been planted since its establishment, equipping congregations to faithfully proclaim the gospel and disciple the nations.

Our ministry is deliberately missional, seeking to advance God’s kingdom by proclaiming the good news of salvation, fostering faithful discipleship, and establishing relationships across the broader Body of Christ. The focus is not simply to build an institution but to faithfully fulfill the Great Commission, making disciples of all nations for the glory of our triune God.

The training and formation programs for deacons and pastors reflect a commitment to the Reformed theological framework. Whether preparing for Holy Orders or pursuing theological education, the focus is on equipping leaders who are deeply rooted in the gospel, sound in doctrine, and devoted to the ministry of Word and sacrament. By grounding leaders in a robust understanding of the historic faith and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, the Church is strengthened and equipped for mission.

One of the great strengths of the Communion lies in the relationships it cultivates. Many clergy serve in persecuted regions, standing firm in their confession of the faith amidst trials and challenges. As a community, burdens are borne together, fostering a spirit of unity and mutual encouragement. In this way, Christ’s prayer in John 17 is fulfilled, striving for unity in truth, love, and mission.

If what you’ve just read resonates in your heart, I invite you to connect with us. Together, we can join hands in building bridges, not barriers, and glorifying our King as we proclaim His Word and His saving grace to the ends of the earth.

To Him alone be the glory forever and ever!

Grace, mercy, and peace to you in Christ Jesus!
