ANDRAH PRADESH, INDIA | 11 AUG 2025
Today marks an historic moment in the life and mission of the Confessing Anglican Church of India.

A total of 44 pastors, who were previously serving without formal regularization in the Anglican tradition, were officially received and regularized as Deacons in the Confessing Anglican Church of India.
This solemn act reaffirms our commitment to maintaining apostolic order, theological integrity, and the historic Anglican faith and practice.
These leaders currently oversee more than 200 churches across various regions. Some shepherd as few as two congregations, while others oversee five or more. The size of these congregations ranges from a minimum of 40 members to more than 1,000 members each, representing a significant segment of the Anglican witness in India.

Bishop Primus Ordains New Priest
Text for This Block
Tomorrow, these 44 faithful servants, having been regularized as deacons, will be ordained as Priests in the Anglican tradition. This will empower them to administer the sacraments, preach the Gospel with greater authority, and shepherd the flock entrusted to their care with full ecclesiastical recognition.
We express our heartfelt thanks to Archbishop Robert Gosselin for delivering an inspiring and Christ-centred Homily during today’s service via online participation. His exhortation strengthened and encouraged both the ordinands and the entire assembly to remain steadfast in sound doctrine and committed to the mission of the Church.
May this moment serve as a new chapter in the advancement of the Gospel and the strengthening of the Anglican witness in our land.
