Our Mission

Serving Globally … Acting Locally

The term “Confessing” powerfully signifies our dedication to the ancient creeds—Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian—in defiance of the prevailing currents of heresy and secularization. It asserts our refusal to allow contemporary heresies to distort the faith once delivered to the saints.

We choose to adhere to an expression of the Gospel that is neither polluted nor diluted.

Winning Souls

We all have one overarching mission:
Be ambassadors for Christ

This calling is for everyone—men and women, young and old—empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Christ in everyday life. Whether at home, work, or in the community, each believer is sent to reach those who’ve never truly heard the Good News.

Only by leading people to a living faith in Jesus are we meeting their deepest needs and fulfilling our purpose. If we are not deliberately winning unbelievers to faith in Christ, we are not fulfilling our calling as the Church.

Building Healthy Churches

Our core priority is to ensure the spiritual health of each and every one of our local congregations.

The focus for most people’s Christian worship and fellowship is their local congregation. It is there that new Christians are baptized, grow in faith, experience fellowship with other Christians and are nurtured by Word and Sacrament. Healthy local churches are key to Christian living, discipleship and reaching their community for Christ.

Restoring Relationships

We offer a home to faithful Anglicans

Significant numbers of faithful Anglicans are reaching a point when their consciences no longer allow them to remain in their present diocese. To such people the Confessing Anglican Church offers a home that is authentically Anglican (since even the Church of England recognizes the Confessing Anglican Church as a valid church), rooted in the Scriptures and the classic Anglican formularies, yet free from the recent unbiblical innovations seen elsewhere.

How We Are Accomplishing Our Mission

We are not passive recipients of faith—we are active participants in God’s mission.
The Church doesn’t exist to serve us; we are the Church, and we exist to serve the world.
We will fulfill the mission He has given us with excellence and integrity.

Revitalize Our Congregations

We are actively engaged in a program of revitalization to refocus our existing churches in the power of the Holy Spirit, while providing Christ-centered worship consistent with our Anglican heritage.

Equip All God’s People

There is a desperate need for all believers to be formed by catechesis, strengthened by His Word, and inspired by His Spirit, so that they can live, pray and witness in accordance with His will.
This is particularly important as most newcomers have minimal understanding of the Bible or the basics of the Christian faith. Catechesis and formation in various contexts is therefore a major priority.

Plant New Churches

Most of our existing congregations, in fact, began as what would now be called church plants. We will continue to plant churches in homes, schools, community centers, event halls and anywhere we can meet. As God blesses we will share, aquire or build more permanent facilities. Our focus is people, not places.

Uphold Biblical Morality

We live in a society that has departed from God’s loving purposes for humankind in many areas – from financial honesty to the sanctity of life to sexuality issues. We uphold traditional biblical morality while loving and encouraging those grappling with difficult life decisions, helping them to be free of sin’s
destructive control.

Nurture A Gospel Ministry

To grow the Kingdom and obey Christ’s command, we need well-trained disciples of Christ who are prepared to engage the world with their gifts and calling. Every follower of Jesus is a minister, and every minister needs a ministry. We are spiritual contributors, not consumers.

Historic Foundations

We rejoice that we have inherited the ancient threefold ministry of bishops, presbyters and deacons. These and other leaders allow us to disciple all believers, equipping us to be a voice for biblical and historic integrity that has begun a new season of faithfulness, unity and courageous witness.
