Alleluia Forum for Unity and Renewal
Last week Bishop Bill Pezzutti and his wife Deaconess Rosie attended the forum hosted by the Alleluia Community in Augusta GA.
The purpose of the gathering was twofold. First, it was a tribute to the life and ministry of Fr. Peter Hocken (Practical unity through shared life) and the second was about the Holy Spirit and the future of Christian Unity (Recovering common roots to renew the whole church).
The gathering started off with a lively and anointed time of Holy Spirit led praise and worship on Wednesday night, followed by a number of guests who addressed the gathering Thursday.
There was also a Bishops Panel which took place on Friday.
The panel featured Bishop Andrzej Siemienski, Bishop Rodolfo Valenzuela, Dr. Carolyn Moore and Dr. Randy Clark. Each panel member spoke about unity and how we can help fulfill Jesus’ prayer in John 17.

A Message from Bishop Bill
“The Unity Forum was and will continue to be a catalyst for unity in the Body of Christ.
The Alleluia Community has a call to see the Bride become one and this Forum was a tangible expression of Jesus’ prayer.
I was reminded of Ephesians 4:4-6 ‘[4] There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; [5] one Lord, one faith, one baptism; [6] one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.’ “

Numerous Excellent Speakers
There were many notable speakers sharing their personal experience with Father Peter.
Dr. Ann Frienel started the talks with a very personal testimony about Fr. Peter and how he was instrumental in shaping her life and ministry.
Fr. Jim Puglisi spoke on the legacy of Father Peter and his tremendous influence on theology, pneumatology, and eschatology.
Dr. Mary Healy spoke on Father Peter’s understanding of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Dr. Ann spoke a second time on Father Peter and “The One New Man” and his heart for the messianic movement around the world. Unity will come as jews and gentiles reconcile and move forward as one.
Dr. Randy Clark spoke about Father Peter’s book, “The Glory and the Shame” and our need as the Body of Christ to pursue the “Glory” rather than the “Shame.” She also led the Thursday “Fire Night Prayer Meeting”, giving a talk on impartation and the power of the Holy Spirit.
